Best places in the UK for winter Quad-Biking!
The winter is one of the most challenging, and exciting times of the year to have fun on four wheels. With that in mind, where in the UK are the best places for a quad-biking experience this festive season?
Cairngorms National Park, Scotland
With some of the most stunning natural surroundings in the whole of the United Kingdom, the Cairngorms is a popular destination for tourists all year round. You can do all kinds of outdoorsy activities here, from hiking to mountain-biking, fishing to rock-climbing. There are a wide range of places you can quad-bike – across private estates, through awesome pine-scented forests, up hills and down dales, and through streams. Simply one of the best places in the world to be in the saddle.
South Wales
Wales unquestionably has some of the UK’s best natural terrain for quad-biking, full of hills, ruts, cambers and nice muddy splashy puddles! That also means that rides can be tailored to suit every ability from beginner right through to the most experienced riders looking for a real tough challenge. As with Scotland, you’ll find there’s no shortage of suppliers up here if you don’t fancy bringing your own bike, meaning with a bit of research you can be certain you won’t just be doing circuits all day you’ll be out in the thick of it.
Lake District, Cumbria
For many bikers, the Lake District has got it all. Easy access up the M6; fantastic muddy challenge around every corner, some of the country’s most beautiful rugged scenery, and on a clear day you can see for miles. Plus, once you’re done for the day, there’s no end of good pubs to relax by the fire and sink a few while you go over the highlights.
